Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to perform plastering and painting services to LGH Infrastructure throughout the LGH region.

Qualifications:

? High school graduation or equivalency;
? Experience as a skilled plasterer/painter;
? Some knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the plastering and painting processes;
? Some knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions related to plastering and painting;
? A practical test may be required;
? Code of Conduct.

Duties (Included but not limited to):

? Applies plastering, painting, and decorating skills in the maintenance of buildings, structures, equipment and furnishings;
? Washes, scrapes, sandblasts, sands, and primes surfaces preparatory to finishing or refinishing;
? Mixes, applies, and smoothes plaster on walls, ceilings and building partitions, patch holes in walls and concrete floors;
? Applies vinyl and paper wall coverings, rubber baseboards and may glaze windows;
? Mixes and matches paints, varnishes, epoxies, and stains in preparation for application;
? Applies paint with brushes, rollers, sponges, cloths and spray guns;
? Erects scaffolding for interior and exterior work;
? Prepares materials lists and obtains competitive quotes as requested;
? May act as lead worker for plastering and painting work;
? Cleans brushes, rollers, spray guns, trowels, and other equipment used in the plastering and painting process;
? Assists with other maintenance duties as required;
? Travel throughout the LGH region required;
? Other related duties as required.
