This Change Management Analyst position is reporting to the Team Leader, Change and Release Management is a key role that oversees the successful implementation of changes within our organization. The main responsibility of the Change Management Analyst is to manage and operate the Change and Release Management programs. Primarily, this position facilitates and oversees the implementation of all changes ensuring risk mitigation and process adherence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process practitioner: Actively participate on approving all changes and releases.
- Overall accountability for change planning and sequencing of change events.
- Definition and documentation of change enablement process, schedule, deliverables, and pre/post deployment activities and reviews.
- Manage daily change requests and identify potential roadblocks and develop strategies to mitigate them, leading to a smoother and more successful change process.
- Oversee the weekly Change Review Board meetings and give final approvals.
- Overall compliance and coordination to the Release Management process as it relates to Change Enablement and gating criteria for production readiness.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of technical infrastructure and development lifecycle.
- A professional Designation in Change and Release management.
- Understanding of software and hardware systems components.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a busy technical environment.
- Good understanding of software development, build and testing best practices.
- A high attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and key judgment skills.
- Working knowledge of the environment and tools and technology used by the application and infrastructure area.
- Strong technical aptitude.
Education:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science or similar program
- Certification in ITIL4 Foundations required
- Specialized ITIL4 Certifications an asset
Work Experience: 5+ Years of experience in a relevant capacity
Security Clearance: Security Clearance Requirement: In conjunction with our contract with the Federal Government, you will be required to have Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B). This includes Fingerprinting, Criminal Record Check, Credit Check and you must have resided in Canada for at least 5 years and hold Permanent Resident or Citizenship Status.
