The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Material Controller to join our Team in Thompson, Manitoba. This is a permanent position.
In this role, you will perform daily replenishment requisitions for warehouse inventory and supplies cataloging for the Load out Project. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing data, making improvement recommendations, problem-solving, planning and prioritizing work with specific deadlines, and coordinating tasks and activities with other departments.
Additionally, in this position you will:
- Work with the team and stakeholders to generate and assign new item master codes or modify existing through systems (Ex. Klassmatt/CH Master) while ensuring no duplications in the national database.
- Maintain and coordinate alignment with the operations, project team and contractors on-site for the movement of materials to required site from warehouse or direct from vendors as per end user timelines.
- Perform levels simulation for warehouse inventory planning; data collection using database tools to gather all simulation inputs.
- Plan for future inventory requirements; anticipate inventory demand anomalies and make adjustments to inventory levels as required, this will require a close working relationship with operational areas.
- Create replenishment requisitions for warehouse inventory demands based on set parameters, taking into consideration anomalies and simulation analysis.
- Work with Operations team to ensure items that are critical are identified as such and inventories are set up with required onsite demands.
- Investigate inventory replenishment issues, identifying gaps and developing strategies to implement new processes, controls, or tools.
- Maintain alignment with Procurement, Warehousing, Operations and Project contractor partnerships regarding responsibilities and collaborative efforts.

- 6 to 18 months of relevant experience in related roles.
Skills:
- Strong comprehension of Supply Chain and Inventory management
- Strong inventory process and control knowledge
- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
- Experience in negotiating, collaboration, and gaining consensus.
