Job Summary
The Administrative Officer reports to the CEO of NL Health Services and is responsible for the overall coordination of the office. The position performs a variety of administrative responsibilities for CEO's office which includes two Executive Leads and a Senior Advisor including coordination of schedules and meetings to ensure the smooth operation of the office. The Administrative Officer works closely with the Board Liaison to ensure Board members have the necessary information to plan and respond to NL Health Services matters, activities, policies, etc. This position facilitates Executive team meetings, agendas and documentation; coordinates logistics; performs required follow-up; and researches, obtains and records meeting minutes. The position coordinates the planning and implementation of projects and assignments as requested; monitors and coordinates executive team activities to ensure they are in accordance with established target deadlines; and participates in the planning and organizing all CEO events. The position liaises with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders including the CEO, Board Chair, Board Standing Committee Chairs, leadership team, government officials, the public, community groups, other national health organizations seeking/providing information.
Job Qualifications
Education
Completion of a recognized/approved three-year Business Management Program or an undergraduate degree in a related discipline. Consideration may also be given to candidates having a two-year office administration program and considerable experience.
Experience
A minimum of five years' experience within the last seven in a progressively responsible administrative role is required; preferably at an Executive level.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Internet and various other computer applications.
A skilled typing speed of 45 wpm is required. A typing test may be administered by the Department of Human Resources.
