In this role, you will support the Director, DEI in advancing the Global Operations and Technology DE&I strategy for key initiatives and programs. You will ensure compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank resources.
- Support the development, implementation, and sustainment of DE&I strategies and initiatives for equity-deserving groups.
- Analyze and report global DEI data, measuring the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Facilitate training sessions and measure their impact through data analysis.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with peers across business lines, providing support and developing solutions.
- Interact with regional DEI councils and ERG Regional Leads to strengthen global partnerships.
- Partner with the DEI Specialist to recruit, onboard, and oversee DEI volunteers.
- Manage contracts using internal platforms, maintaining stakeholder relationships with Legal, Procurement, Sourcing, and Finance teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support DE&I program partnerships, external partnerships, and sponsorships.
- Contribute to the annual Employment Equity Narrative Report and ESG Report.
- Mitigate risks and dependencies, ensuring teams can effectively complete their work.
- Consider the Bank's risk appetite and culture in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Pursue efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:
- College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Communications.
- Working experience in HR or a related field.
- Knowledge of global trends in DE&I, employee engagement, talent management, and HR.
- Strong implementation and project management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Effective time management and priority setting.
- Proficiency in computer systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Social Media).
- Intellectual curiosity about best practices inside and outside the Bank.
Work Arrangement: This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
