The Multimedia Technician is responsible for producing high quality marketing, promotions and communications materials for the University. Working closely with clients from conception, production, and post-production to create engaging, contemporary multimedia for use in teaching, promotions, and overall communications throughout the University and externally.
They must have a working knowledge of camera, lighting and audio equipment as well as a proficiency with post-production software and graphic software.
The Multimedia Technician must oversee several projects at any given time. It is crucial that the Multimedia Specialist has strong time management skills and can meet deadlines. They must be able to work efficiently and under time restraints. They are expected to meet their objectives and complete projects with minimal supervision.
The role is also called upon to assist with setup and support for classes and special events on campus.
The successful candidate must have a diploma in film or television arts and a minimum of 2 years related experience in the field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Strong IT/Computer literary is a requirement, including demonstrated experience using Excel. Good time management and the ability to work to a deadline is vital. Project and client managment and records management skills are considered assets. A creative mindset and good customer services skills are ideal.
