Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the GWO FX Options Operations team within Confirmations and Settlement Operations, GWO in Canada, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Ensures timely confirmation and settlement of trades by tracking unmatched transactions across the unit & proactively analyzing/addressing root causes. This includes but is not limited to verification of daily settlements, cash control function, investigation of settlement issues, and involvement with projects as they relate to the team, as well as any other assigned daily control points.
• Provides insight and support to management during planning, organizing and successful implementation of projects affecting the unit's operations.
• Pro-actively supports management efforts to monitor group activity so as to ensure internal control procedures remain effective, are understood and adhered to.
• Supports management efforts to motivate staff, increase individual performances, execute a robust training schedule and assign workstation responsibilities fairly.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We'd love to work with you if you have:
• University Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Capital Markets
• In-depth knowledge of all Bank policies, regulatory requirements, limits and controls which may affect or restrict all aspects of the day-to-day responsibilities for the unit.
• Thorough grasp of all operating systems and applications used by the unit.
Work Arrangement:
• Hybrid work environment (3 days in-office) between core operational hours
• Overtime may be required during peak periods or high-volume days
• Coverage on Statutory holidays is required
• Occasional weekend support for project or testing can be required
