Who we are
The Policy branch within the Executive Council Office (ECO) coordinates proposals across government departments that require Cabinet approval. Our team directly influences provincial priorities and shapes initiatives impacting New Brunswickers. In this executive role, you will leverage your policy expertise to lead meaningful change and drive strategic direction.
What you will do
To drive policy innovation and excellence, you will:
- lead the policy process by overseeing proposals to Executive Council Committees and Cabinet;
- develop and mentor a team of senior policy analysts to ensure high-quality recommendations;
- train and mentor policy professionals across government on decision-making processes;
- provide strategic advice to senior leadership on complex policy matters; and
- influence government initiatives addressing New Brunswick's most pressing challenges.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a strategic leader who provides evidence-based advice, demonstrates exceptional judgment, and adapts quickly to changing priorities. You should have expertise in government operations and excel at building collaborative relationships across departments and with external stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master's degree in public administration, political science, policy studies, or related field
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience with focus on policy analysis and development
- Bilingual (English and French) written and spoken competence
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

Salary:
Pay Band 9 - $120,666.00 to $132,782.00 per annum
