What You'll Be Doing

As a Network & Cybersecurity Co-op Student, you'll support network operations, security monitoring while gaining exposure to cybersecurity tools and practices. You'll work alongside network engineers and cybersecurity professionals to help strengthen HIAA's IT infrastructure.

• Assist in troubleshooting network performance issues under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Support the wireless network, optimizing performance and troubleshooting access-related issues.
• Monitor network performance, latency, and security using network management tools.
• Participate in troubleshooting network issues, escalating complex problems to the senior team or vendors as necessary.
• Help with threat detection & response by reviewing security logs and alerts.
• Help document security incidents, network configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Networking, or related program.
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP).
• Interest in cybersecurity principles, network security,
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
• Familiarity with Network security principles.
• Exceptional teamwork, analytical and problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and writing skills.
