The Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the design and development of key talent management programs that support our overall talent strategy at Medavie, and have a direct impact on the growth and development of our staff. As an Organizational Development Consultant, you have demonstrated experience in key talent processes such as the career and progression pathing, job analysis and performance management with the ability to evolve these processes to help foster a culture of feedback and growth. You will be an integral member of our OD Team, as we challenge ourselves to be innovative, caring, and continuously strive to improve organizational effectiveness.

In this role you will:

  • Continue to evolve our Career Development Hub including career paths- identifying career progression and demonstrating how employees can advance in their career, promote career stories, assessment tools and department overviews to increase knowledge and visibility to all employees
  • Deliver career webinars for leaders and employees to support career development conversations
  • Lead a group of business champions to monitor the progress of career development initiatives and optimize business processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop our Job Framework and job profiles so employees can have clear information on our most critical roles
  • Develop a new graduate rotational program that allows graduates to learn about key areas of our organization and prepare them for a career at Medavie
  • Lead the performance management process and be responsible to continually evolve the process based on feedback from leaders and employees and releases from Workday
  • Participate in the design and delivery of training programs to enhance employee or leader skills and competencies
  • Support the Succession Lead throughout the Annual Talent Review Cycle
  • Provide consultation and expertise to talent segment leadership teams to support their Personal Growth priorities, and create and implement unique customized solutions
  • Lead strategic projects from start to finish, manage relationships with external vendors, and contribute ideas to enhance outcomes and processes
  • Drive continuous improvement of talent management programs by proactively identifying gaps and opportunities and recommending potential solutions for improvement. Use key metrics to evaluate success in career development, performance management, development and graduate retention

What You'll Bring to This Role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in HR under Organizational Development/ Learning and Development, including career development and performance management in large complex organizations (2,500 employees or more)
  • Previous experience working within healthcare and/or insurance and in a unionized / non-unionized organization is an asset
  • CPHR/CSTD certifications are an asset
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with diverse teams
  • High level of adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Highly organized, detail oriented with excellent project management skills who can manage multiple projects simultaneously,
  • Excellent facilitation skills with strong negotiation and influencing abilities
  • Superior communication and stakeholder management capabilities, typically involving senior leadership as a key audience
  • Action-oriented with the ability to make quick, quality decisions to deliver superior results
  • Written and spoken bilingualism (French and English) is mandatory
  • Proficiency in utilizing technology to support career development programs such as: MS-Office suite, on-line survey tools, Workday Talent Optimization, other talent mobility & e-learning solutions
  • Change management, organizational effectiveness and project management training are all an asset
