The Brand Advisor is a key member of the Brand and Creative Services team, directly facilitating the design and production of materials and assets that support and amplify our brand identity. The primary focus of the role is managing design and production requests. This focus includes close collaboration with team members and partners, coordination of timelines and deliverables with partners, and providing strategic advice on creative concepts and direction to both. The role also works closely with the Team Lead as a key representative for Creative Services to business partners throughout Medavie, providing best-practice advice, counsel and recommendations for planning and delivering creative projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage large volume of design and production requests on behalf of Creative Services team, closely collaborating with team members and partners to successfully deliver projects.
  • Assessing and assigning projects with team members and coordinating partner tasks such as production schedules, translation services and deliverables.
  • Negotiating project workplans with business partners, including establishing workflows and negotiating schedules and timelines.
  • Providing strategic advice and guidance to team members and business partners on best-practice approaches to design and branding work.
  • Enhancing processes or developing new approaches through ongoing assessments of efficient workflows, documenting processes, etc.

You have:

  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of related work experience. Experience working in marketing and communications teams or agency and production environments would be an asset.
  • Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or another related field.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid workplace with colleagues working remotely or in office.
  • Comfort working both independently and in a highly-collaborative environment with numerous team members and partners as part of a geographically dispersed team.
  • Strong proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • High attention to detail including proofing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring multi-tasking and dealing with various competing priorities.
  • Strong adherence to deadlines.
  • Experience working with project management software would be an asset.
  • Functional understanding of design practices and standards.
  • Knowledge of Marketing, Branding and Graphic Design would be an asset.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
