As part of the Labour Relations and Compensation team, the Compensation Analyst plays a key role in supporting strategic and operational compensation initiatives, collective agreement negotiations, job evaluation and market research.
Key functions include:
- Supporting the job evaluation process by assisting the Senior Compensation Specialists with research, collection and storage of salary and classification data and information and conducting job evaluations.
- Building wage tables, conducting market research, completing salary surveys, developing and designing ad hoc reports, researching, analyzing, verifying and interpreting complex compensation information.
- Advising managers, supervisors, and other Human Resources team members on compensation issues.
Our ideal teammate will have:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or equivalent
- Five years of relevant work experience in human resources including two or more of the following:
o Job Evaluation
o Salary Survey analysis
o Compensation/human resources data analysis
o Interpretation and analysis of collective agreements, policies, standards or guidelines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other MS Office Software
If no candidate is identified who meets the criteria noted above, consideration will be given to candidates who meet the following qualifications and will be considered for classification as an Analyst II.
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Three years of relevant work experience in in human resources including two or more of the following:
o Job Evaluation
o Salary Survey analysis
o Compensation/human resources data analysis
o Interpretation and analysis of collective agreements, policies, standards or guidelines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software
An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
