About the Role
The Manager, Legal Services assumes responsibility for overseeing the daily operation of the Legal Department, managing all administrative departmental functions, and ensuring that the teams in Legal Services functions efficiently and delivers exceptional legal services aligned with the WCB's strategic plan.
Reporting to the General Counsel, the Manager, Legal Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Legal Services Department, including the allocation of resources, workload/workflow management, quality and completion of work that supports the vision and goals of the organization to achieve the strategic objectives.
The Manager is accountable for meeting service and performance goals related to Legal Services by understanding customer needs while leading and inspiring their team to provide exceptional service. This position ensures the efficient and effective operations of the team which includes all aspects of human resource management related to selecting, developing, leading and managing the performance of the team. The Manager leads and manages process improvement initiatives focused on supporting legal counsel in the development of sustainable practices.
Your Experience & Skills
- A University degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Criminology, Human Resources or related field.
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a senior decision-making capacity; three (3) of which involved intensive experience in leadership/management capacity.
- Proven experience in building and maintaining partnerships across departments, demonstrating strong communications skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience working in legal support services considered an asset
We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $90,359 - $112,951.
