JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Regional Manager of Talent Acquisition, the Immigration Support Advisor will be responsible for providing support to candidates outside of Canada who have received an offer of employment within Vitalité Health Network. This individual shall be the contact who will support these people until they start their job, while ensuring close collaboration with government agencies (municipal, provincial and federal), settlement agencies, multicultural agencies and other organizations that help immigrants. The successful candidate must also work closely with the staffing and recruitment team as well as the regional diversity and inclusion advisor. This person's mission will be to ensure that employees from the international recruiting process receive good support throughout the process of obtaining their work permit as well as in their relocation and settlement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Business Administration or other relevant fields;
- At least three years' experience in a position related to human resources (recruiting, staffing) or welcoming and settlement of newcomers;
- Excellent knowledge of immigration and best practices in this field;
- Strong skills in planning, delivering and evaluating services;
- Client- and service-focused, proven ability to work with people at all levels, and ability to be effective and diplomatic in delicate situations;
- Good skills in analysis and research of creative and strategic solutions;
- Strong ability to manage priorities, organizational skills and independence;
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both official languages;
- Valid driver's licence to travel for work within the province;
- Ability to work independently and as a team member;
- Physically able to perform assigned duties;
- Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
- Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
- Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
