Clearwater Seafoods' Finance department requires a Financial Analyst, Global Markets based at their Bedford, Nova Scotia Corporate Office. This role is a full-time permanent position and reports to the Finance Director, Species.


Purpose of Position:

  • The Financial Analyst, Global Markets will be responsible for providing support for the financial, business performance and data analysis needs of both the Global Markets Finance team and Finance Species team. The Financial Analyst, Global Markets will be a key member of the Global Markets Finance team.

Job Duties:

  • Provide support and work closely with Finance Manager(s) on species financial responsibilities including development and maintenance of species forecast, annual operating plan (AOP)
  • Preparation of monthly and quarterly consolidated sales bridges
  • Consolidate monthly species gross margin and inventory forecasts
  • Prepare daily sales pipeline report for Global Markets and Species teams
  • Recommend and implement the planning and scheduling requirements for the annual operating plan (AOP) including consolidation of sales files and preparation of sales upload into sales and operations planning
  • Provide support and be a key liaison with the SAP reporting team to help provide testing support related to sales report enhancements and automation
  • Perform other duties and complete ad hoc reporting requirements as needed

Job Qualifications:

  • University business degree with accounting major or equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Excel
  • 1-3+ years of relevant experience
  • SAP user knowledge is an asset
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Excellent analytical skills
