The Opportunity
As a valued member of our Regional Operations team, you will be responsible for receiving and shipping, returning and storing of materials; picking and packaging orders; stocking shelves in the stores pre-issue area; operating machinery, tools and forklifts; assembling and scrapping street lights; scrapping poleline hardware; maintaining a computerized inventory system; arranging for the delivery of materials and equipment to job sites as required; adhering to security protocol; and other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications include high school graduation certificate as well as experience in a warehouse environment. Physical demands of the job range from moderate to high levels of strenuousness. You must hold and maintain a valid driver's license. You are knowledgeable in the use of computers and your training in WHMIS and Transportation of Dangerous Goods is an asset. Compensation is in accordance with the current Collective Agreement.
You are a highly motivated team player with a strong commitment to safety and customer service, an excellent work ethic, and effective interpersonal and communication skills.
