In this role, you will :
- Coordinate, implement and evaluate the delivery of the Transportation and Gathering Centre programs.
- Assists with the development and implementation of program plans to ensure success in meeting the geographies operational goals.
- Evaluates service delivery, present findings and recommendations for improvement.
- Follows up on client complaints adhering to the National complaint process.
- Schedule and conduct client assessments and update and maintain client files.
- Respond to client inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
- Liaise with community agencies/organizations to foster mutual understanding, coordination and create partnerships in support of related services and initiatives.
- Support administrative management of the Transportation and Gathering Centre programs, including collecting and recording program statistics.
- Provides on-site support to management of physical assets (premises, vehicles, security).
- Participate in Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) programs and initiatives as required.
What we are looking for :
- Two years experience in customer service or program coordination/development, preferably within the healthcare sector; with a diploma in Social Services or Gerontology. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience and/or knowledge related to Indigenous communities is a strong asset.
- Ability to travel throughout the Moosonee community and must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English is required; working knowledge of Cree is a strong asset.
- Experience working with volunteers is an asset.
- Ability to solve complex problems and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound knowledge of various computer programs such as MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with CIMS, RAI CHA assessments or other data management software is an asset.
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer service skills.
Working Conditions :
- This position is based out of the Moosonee office location that is clean and comfortable, although in a remote area.
- The incumbent must have the ability to travel throughout the Moosonee community and Northeast Region and must have access to reliable transportation.
