The New Brunswick Legal Aid Services Commission (NBLASC) is seeking individuals to join the Family Law Services Branch as a Legal Administrative Assistant in the Saint John Regional office.
Who we are:
The NBLASC provides legal assistance to low-income individuals and is a crucial part of a fair and equitable justice system. We are committed to access to justice and we advocate for our clients' rights.
Family Law Services provides legal advice and legal representation to eligible individuals on family law matters.
What you will do:
As a Legal Administrative Assistant your responsibilities will include the following:
· Providing administrative support services including, but will not be limited to: drafting applications, motions, affidavits, trial records, and any other documents as requested;
· Managing client case files, schedules, and bring forward system;
· Liaising with clients, private bar, and other members of the justice system;
· Maintaining file management system;
· Scheduling client appointments;
· Answering routine calls and corresponding;
· Dealing with routine inquiries;
· Referring clients to appropriate services;
· Performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Need to have (Essential qualifications and skills):
· Completion of post-secondary training in a related field;
· A minimum of 4 years of related experience;
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Wage:
Salary and benefits will be commensurate with skill level and experience:
$1,815 - $2,205 biweekly - NBLASC CUPE Admin 2 pay scale
