Sales Coordinator

Tropical Shipping of Canada provides weekly container service from Canada to the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Operating state-of-the-art facilities in select seaside ports to meet our customer's freight-shipping needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Sales Department support through correspondence, rate quotes, service announcements, follow up and daily communication with internal and external customers. The position will be located in our Saint John, NB office.

Specific duties:

• Act as internal support contact to coordinate sales and service issues
• Contact current and potential customers for new and additional business
• Provide rate quotes and follow up
• Accounts Receivable follow up when balances are overdue. Find resolution to discrepancies.
• Update customer profiles and maintain database
• Research accounts for historical patterns and activities using systems, reports and market research
• Assists with sales contracts and monitors approval process to completion.
• Supports Customer Service Department when necessary with bookings, phone calls and general inquiries.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills along with administrative and sales experience. Bilingual English/French would be considered an asset. As well, the ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 1 year general business experience, preferably in the shipping industry
• Valid local driver's license and passport.
• Must be comfortable in a computerized environment with a working knowledge of MS Office software, and CRM.
