Alderney Surveys Limited, a well-established survey firm in Dartmouth, is seeking a Nova Scotia Land Surveyor or suitable candidates with the ability to become commissioned as a Nova Scotia Land Surveyor to join their firm.
Requirements and Duties for the successful candidate:
- Commissioned as a Nova Scotia Land Surveyor or able to become commissioned.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the survey industry
- Strong communication skills and professionalism when dealing with clients, government staff and general public.
- Highly motivated, organized and works well in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient with AutoCAD
- Good understanding and working knowledge of survey field equipment, data collection and processing.
- The candidate must have thorough research and analytical skills pertaining to boundary retracement solutions and have the ability to complete survey projects and plans in a timely and professional manner.
- The candidate must be able to work with and provide directions to survey field crews.
- The candidate will be involved with subdivision layout and design (QP capabilities beneficial).
- The candidate will be required to set up and manage construction projects as well as Lot Grading and Drainage projects for new home construction.
