The Business Applications Support team is responsible to provide expertise in functional and technical support and services to NB Power end-users in the areas of SAP Solutions, SharePoint, data warehouse reporting and other business applications.

The SAP Finance Functional Analyst will maintain in-depth knowledge of NB Power configuration, integration points and functionality of one or more SAP modules and related financial business processes. Additionally, this position will carry out functional analysis activities in one or more phases of the system development life cycle and be responsible for end-user support, functional specifications, system configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues. The SAP Finance Functional Analyst will also be involved in the design, development, performance, and coordination of unit, integration, and acceptance testing.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Provide SAP functional expertise and support for various implementation projects in the area of Finance.
• Consult with various departments and other Digital Technology (DT) support staff to gather and analyze business requirements for the exploitation of new business capabilities within SAP.
• Provide impact, time, and effort estimates for requests for changes/enhancements in SAP, including functional impact of major upgrades and projects. Additionally, complete associated specifications and documentation and provide end user support, system configuration, troubleshooting, and resolution of production issues.

The ideal candidate will have one of the following:
• Bachelor of Computer Science
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering
• Bachelor of Business Administration
• Bachelor of Commerce

Combined with:
• Three years of experience with SAP financial modules such as, FI, CO, ECCS, TR/CM and PS, systems analysis and design.
• Five years of financial or accounting related experience.
• Professional Accounting Designation (e.g. CPA) or enrollment in program.
• Good knowledge of integration points between FI, CO and other modules within SAP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with the configuration of financial modules within SAP, such as FI, CO, PS, and ECCS.

An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.

An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
