Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the incumbent of this position is responsible for the architecture, engineering design and integration of customized solution (as LAN / WAN / WIFI / Security) meeting needs of large business customers. As part of Professional Services, this position represents a great technical leadership opportunity and is a key factor for the success of our professional services portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an advisor, build & maintain the business requirement roadmap in order to recommend upgrades, improvements or technological changes
  • Be informed, work with vendors and understand IT market evolution and how it translates to the business
  • Be an Innovator, integrate different technology layers in an overall architecture & adopting automation
  • Be our voice, represent Bell as a Technology lead in new projects
  • Be a leader, lead the technical virtual team assigned to deliver large & complex projects
  • Be a builder, build the strategy and evolution of existing services as well as future services architecture
  • Be hands on, design solutions based on business needs. Produce drawings and specifications for achievement of tasks related to the selected solutions. Participate in the build of the services
  • Be a partner, overlook the evolution of scope during delivery and adapt the strategy
Critical Qualifications
  • Telecommunications or Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years experience in the field of telecommunications.
  • Knowledge mostly on LAN / WAN networks, WIFI, IT Security
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with major manufacturers networking equipment.
  • Experience in integration (SOAP / REST, APIs)
  • Experience in scripting (Python, various shells, integration toolsets)
  • Experience in producing customer facing documentations & diagrams (for ex: Proposals, Statement of Work, White Papers)
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
  • A candidate that is able to adapt and learn
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications for major manufacturers (ex: CCDP, CCIE, CCNA, CCDA, ACMA)
  • Government of Canada Reliability Status (enhanced)
  • Experience with Cisco Products (Meraki, ISE, ACI, DNA)
  • Experience with Fortinet et F5
