Purpose:
Contributes to the overall success of the Global Business Payments/Money Transfer Operations department ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are exeEnsures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures
What you'll do:
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, system's and knowledge.
- Work closely with our technology partners in ensuring excellent solutions are in place for the settlement of all clients' wires/deposits and settlement related activities
- Support Global Wholesale Operations and Bank partners with regards to ensuring all Standard Settlement Instructions are adhered to and communicated accord initiatives.
- Support the Money Transfer Operations team with day-to-day operational efficiencies to maximize resources and ensure initiatives and process improvements
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment.

What you'll bring:
- Excellent Interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with a broad range of financial products/services
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with Senior management - Written and Verbal
- Technical abilities - programming and coding skills
- Understanding of straight-thru processing rules / preferred correspondent banking rules
- Understanding of standard settlement arrangements in ISO/MT formats
Work Arrangement:
This position is currently a Hybrid role, with the expectation that you will work in the office. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
