Hardware Technical Assistant
4-month term position

Elections New Brunswick is searching for an individual who would enjoy deploying and configuring technology for the upcoming Provincial Election.
As the Hardware Technical Assistant, you will report to the Information Systems Officer. You will provide a variety of IT support services to field operations, including but not limited to:

• Assist with configuring electoral IT and telecommunications assets such as laptops, iPads, VOIP phones and multifunction devices for field operations;
• Preparing and issuing devices to field operations in advance of and during the Provincial Election;
• Providing bilingual telephone, MS Teams, and email support for field operations during the election.

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies to be given further consideration. Please state your language capability on your application and ensure that preferred language for assessment is clearly identified.
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate:

• Experience with basic computer hardware
• Experience with Windows desktop
• Experience with MS Office Suite
• Experience with printers

Salary: $22.30 per hour.

Weekly working hours may sometimes vary, however, the position is based on a 35-hour work week.
The job begins on Thursday, August 15, 2024, and ends on Friday, December 20, 2024.
