Are you a strong leader with a passion for driving strategic vision and fostering collaborative relationships?

The Construction Association of New Brunswick - Moncton Northeast (CANB-Moncton Northeast) is seeking an dynamic Executive Director to spearhead our mission of advancing the interests of the construction industry in eastern New Brunswick.

Established in 1942, CANB-Moncton Northeast has been at the forefront of advocating for general contractors, trade and sub-contractors, and suppliers in the region. With nearly 400 member businesses, we are a pivotal voice representing the construction sector at local, provincial, and national levels.

Primary Objectives:

  • Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to refine and implement the association's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with our core mission and values.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of CANB-Moncton Northeast, ensuring that annual objectives are met and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Team Development: Provide leadership to our dedicated team, fostering a culture of growth and excellence through clear objectives, coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships within the construction industry and with government stakeholders at the municipal, provincial, and federal levels.
  • Brand Management: Ensure that CANB-Moncton Northeast is consistently presented in a positive light, positioning us as a collaborative partner within the community.
  • Resource Mobilization: Identify opportunities for additional financial resources to support the association's activities and initiatives.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma or certificate in a related discipline
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role
  • Proven track record of strategic leadership and organizational management
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry and the regulatory environment
  • Experience in budget management
  • Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture
  • Experience implementing strategic initiatives with prescribed outcomes
  • Superior oral and written communication in English; bilingualism (FR) is considered an asset
  • Keen orientation towards exceeding members' expectations
  • Exceptional relationship building skills and an openness to listen to diverse ideas
  • Superior attention to detail and solutions focused
  • Some travel and work outside of operating hours will be required
