PAL Aerospace is partnered with SkyAlyne who has been named by Canada as the preferred bidder for the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, which is our next generation pilot and aircrew training program for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). The scope of the FAcT Program includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers (ACSO), and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators (AES Op) to meet the future aerospace requirements of the RCAF. In collaboration with the Government of Canada, SkyAlyne and several of its major Canadian subcontractors will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more. https://skyalyne.ca/future-aircrew-training-canada/

This Program will be a 20+ year contract and will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with one of its main operational locations in Winnipeg, MB.

PAL Aerospace is searching for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team in Winnipeg to support PAL's FAcT Program Team. The Administrative Assistant reports to the Director of FAcT and is responsible to provide administrative support for the Program. This position requires a forward-thinking administrative professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who consistently displays a high level of professionalism interacting with staff and customers. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • A dministrative responsibilities such as managing program calendar , scheduling meetings, organizing travel arrangements for team members .
  • Drafting letters, memos, reports, and presentations ; tracking and following up on action items .
  • T racking departmental and project expenses and ensuring proper coding is used .
  • S upporting onboarding of new team members and preparing necessary resources .
  • Manage inventory of office suppl ies .
  • Coordinating internal and external events /activities and related logistics ;
  • Assist with internal and external communications;
  • Track and maintain a volume of documents in an organized way .
  • Other duties as assigned .

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from a post-secondary program in administrative/business support, along with at least 5 years progressive experience in a n administrative role.
  • Solid working knowledge with SharePoint and MS Office suite including Outlook, Word , Excel and PowerPoint , and proven ability in office management tasks .
  • MS Power Apps Experience/aptitude considered an asset .
  • Previous e xperience working on a large-scale project and within aerospace/aviation would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, h ave a personable and enthusiastic personality and "can do" attitude .
  • Experience with travel managemen t and expenses.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, manage competing priorities according to changing demands .
  • Strong English oral and written language capabilities .

Security Responsibilities:

Incumbent must be eligible for Government Personnel Security Clearance.
