Clearwater Seafoods' Accounts Payable department requires an Accounts Payable Clerk. The position is a Full Time position and will be located in Bedford, NS.

Purpose of Position

This position is responsible for the timely processing of vendor invoices and employee expense claims.

Reporting Structure

  • This position reports to the Transaction Manager, Accounts Payable.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Accurate and efficient processing of vendor invoices and employee expense claims
  • Reconciling vendor accounts and responding to vendor inquiries
  • Applying manual payments, credit blocks and debit memos in SAP
  • Prepare working papers to support outstanding payable balances reconciled to the general ledger
  • Responding to business inquiries on invoice and payment status
  • Assist in weekly payment processing as required
  • Related administrative tasks and other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Business degree or diploma or 2 years equivalent work experience.
  • Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • International Experience.
  • SAP user knowledge is an asset.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both verbally and written.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
