Summary

Bell Media's Business Intelligence (BI) team is looking for a bilingual Senior Business Analyst who will play a key role in the company's analytics and AI transformation. The ideal candidate must be able to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams (Microstrategy/Data Engineers), ensuring solutions developed align with requirements, organizational standards and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Advanced analytics & Artificial intelligence

  • Lead AI features analysis and testing related to our BI tools
  • Investigate how Advanced Analytics/Artificial Intelligence can help to derive deeper insights from data
  • Act as a key actor in its adoption

Report requirements

  • Lead and facilitate reporting/ analytics requirement sessions
  • Take action to clarify any unclear specifications
  • Acquire knowledge of business rules for data quality & integrity
  • Uncover stories behind the requirements and identify the best report design approach
  • Translate business requirements & rules into comprehensive documentation

Report development and QA

  • Provide guidance and support to MicroStrategy developers
  • Assist in Dossier/Report design and standardization
  • Test and validate the reporting solutions to ensure: accuracy with business requirements and compliance with organizational standards
  • Monitor project progress and identify risks
  • Address issues and resolve requests for additional information
  • Communicate project status to stakeholders
Support
  • Lead the launch & initial training of our reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with MicroStrategy support-troubleshooting (ex.: access, security groups)
  • Participate in the development and implementation of our organizational standards
  • Support Jira board/ Confluence page maintenance-troubleshooting
Critical Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer/ Information Science or a similar field
  • 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst/ developing requirements for BI/Reporting/Analytics
  • 1+ year of experience with MicroStrategy and good knowledge of other BI tools
  • Good knowledge of SQL
  • Good knowledge of databases, and cloud technologies
  • Good knowledge and skills with Agile practices, Jira, and Confluence platforms
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics and Gen AI tools
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PPT
  • Take ownership and accountability for assigned projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to juggle several tasks in parallel
