As part of our Communications team, the Translator role is responsible for managing all aspects of communication for NB Power to both internal and external clients. The role will also provide translation, revision, proofreading, and basic subtitling services of general documents as well as specialized documents from English to French and from French to English. As a part of the Official Languages Act, the Translation team provides translation services for the Corporation, ensuring that NB Power can communicate to our customers and employees in both official languages.
Our ideal teammate will have:
• A Bachelor of Translation
• Two years of experience with the translation of documents from English to French and French to English
• Bilingual with advanced reading and writing skills in both English and French
• Language proficiency testing is required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs
• Familiarity with Translation Software will be an asset.
• Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be modified.
An Eligibility List generated from this competition may be used to fill future vacancies at the same level within a period of up to 12 months.
