The Maritime Odd Fellows Home is a 47 Bed Long Term Care Facility located in the town of Pictou, overlooking picturesque Pictou Harbour. The Odd Fellows Home has a long history providing quality care to our valued Residents and is in need of a full-time Director of Care to join our care team.

As part of the senior leadership team, the Director of Care (DOC) reports to the CEO and is responsible for overseeing the multidisciplinary staff providing 24-hour care at the Maritime Odd Fellows Home. The role demands a dynamic leader capable of integrating Montessori Inspired Lifestyle principles into all aspects of resident care, ensuring a high standard of personalized and dignified care is consistently delivered. The Director of Care will lead initiatives to improve care practices, enhance staff performance, and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in implementing Montessori Inspired Lifestyle principles in a care setting would be an asset.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and complex unionized operations.
• Computer literacy skills required.
• Current clear criminal records with vulnerable sector check.
