The Department of Health is seeking an individual to join the Innovation and eHealth Branch as the MyHealthNB Program Manager in Fredericton.

As the MyHealthNB Program Manager, you will:

  • Implement and oversee a sustainable governance and operational support framework required in governing the business of providing secure, timely and direct access to citizens' personal health information;
  • Develop and maintain a business model for MyHealthNB, evolving it into an enterprise business unit, complete with technical solution(s) and business processes;
  • Establish a MyHealthNB quality control program supported by policies and procedures;
  • Provide subject matter expertise in the development of strategies as it relates to the ongoing MyHealthNB Program and digital solution evolution and expansion;
  • Lead the visioning, planning and evaluation of program service delivery;
  • Provide direction and oversight as it relates to the curating and development of educational content of the MyHealthNB patient portal;
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and work collaboratively with professional colleges, societies and associations (i.e. NB Medical Society, NB College of Physicians and Surgeons, NB College of Pharmacists and Nurses Association of NB); clinicians, citizens, the Regional Health Authorities; other business lines at the Department of Health (i.e. eHealthNB, Medicare, etc..); other parts of GNB (i.e. Finance and Treasury Board, Social Development, and SNB); the Access Atlantic collaborative; and Federal interests (Canada Health Infoway, CIHI and CFHI);
  • Collaborate with other partners and/or jurisdictions to ensure cross-jurisdictional learning informing decisions and the development of policies, programs and strategies;
  • Provide guidance and direction related to identifying, monitoring and reporting on program risk and mitigation strategies; ensuring appropriate auditing processes are followed to support the protection of Personal Health Information (PHI).

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Informatics, Health Information Management, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a related field to include two (2) years of experience managing staff.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English and French is required. Please state your language capability on your application.

In the event that this competition poses difficulties in recruiting a qualified candidate, a covering off appointment at a lower level may be made. In that case, candidates with less than the required related years of experience may also be considered.

Asset Qualifications: Preference may be given to candidates who possess the following asset qualifications:

  • Two or more years of experience working in a clinical setting that demonstrates communication and engagement with various stakeholders in the clinical community;
  • Professional designation under a regulated health profession;
  • Demonstrated experience working in eHealth and/or Information Management / Information Technology (IMIT) and / or Business Analyst experience.

Salary: $62,452 to $87,230 per annum (Pay Band 5)
