ABOUT THE ROLE
The primary purpose of the position is to plan, develop, organize, implement and validate Therapeutic Recreation programs designed to meet the social, cultural, recreational, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the residents of York Care Centre. The incumbent is responsible to make decisions that provides for the effective planning, preparation and execution of all aspects of the Therapeutic Recreation Program.
ABOUT YOU
You are an individual with a passion for providing services to seniors. You possess strong organizational and communication skills. You are creative, innovative, pay attention to detail and can multi-task. You are comfortable with planning and coordinating individual and/or group activities. You have experience with Microsoft Office. Experience in program planning is an asset.
You have completed the Therapeutic Activity Professionals course and/or obtained a degree in Gerontology. Candidates must be physically able to perform assigned duties.
