The Regulatory Manager, Operations Services shall be responsible for overseeing and providing support for the regulated aspects of school building custodial and maintenance operations employing high quality standards of operations and a supportive service delivery model. In support of long-range planning and development, the Manager will assist the Assistant Coordinator Maintenance Operation Services with the evaluation of system needs, the establishment of system-wide regulatory operations standards, school repair and improvement priorities and school building renewal plans. Working collaboratively with a management team, the Manager will demonstrate a strong commitment to the school improvement process in support of student learning and reports directly to the Assistant Coordinator Maintenance Operation Services

Qualifications:

a) Completion of a college or university program in a discipline related to the operation and maintenance of facilities, or equivalent training and experience;

(b) Minimum five (5) years experience working in the operation and/or maintenance of facilities;

(c) Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in facility operations or maintenance;

(d) Certification or willingness to obtain Class 1 Operator Water Treatment and Water Distribution and/or Class II Operator Wastewater Treatment considered assets;

(e) Additional technical experience or qualified certification in areas such as Regulatory Compliance considered assets, including but not limited to: Fire Systems, Sprinkler Systems, Radon Systems, Elevators;

(f) Valid Nova Scotia driver's license and satisfactory driving record;

This is a Professional Employees Group (PEG) position classified on the Education Entities Non-Union Compensation Framework at Band 8 with an annual range between $67,880 to $84,849.
