Corey Nutrition Company is a family-owned manufacturer based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We are known for producing high quality pet food and aquaculture feed and ship our products worldwide. We are currently looking for a full-time employee to join our team as Logistics Assistant, based in Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Controller, the primary purpose of this position is to help coordinate the flow of goods and to facilitate a positive end to end customer experience, ensuring the customer receives what they want, when they want, at a freight rate that meets expectations. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating customer order activity including: order processing, freight negotiation and coordination, sales invoice generation and associated administration.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate with production and sales to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained at all warehouses.
- Coordinate shipments to all warehouses.
- Prepares CFIA certificates and associated documentation for export.
- Receive and process orders for pet food and aquafeed.
- Obtains freight quotes for orders.
- Monitors carrier movement from shipper to receiver to ensure load is delivered on time and in the intended condition.
- Follow up on service failures and take corrective measures.
- Responds to high volume of communications daily; Communicates with customer and carriers for delivery to customer expectations.
- Prepares, reviews, audits and maintains all necessary shipping and carrier documents prior to load tender.
- Runs inquiry and ad-hoc reports as requested
- Customer invoicing and credits
- Processing credit card payments

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Syspro ERP.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- University or College degree considered an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing/production industry an asset
