Red Seal Carpenter

Position: Red Seal Carpenter

Location: Bilijk (Kingsclear First Nation)

Department: Housing

Term: 6 months (with possibility of extension)

Rate of Pay: Dependent upon experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Coordinate and supervise construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget

· Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, installing doors and windows, and building structures

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

· Manage inventory of materials and equipment needed for each project

Qualifications/Requirements:

· Red Seal Certification.

· Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry

· Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and safety procedures

· Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings

· Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team.

· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

· Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

· Must have a valid driver's license.

· Travel may be required.

· Be physically capable and able to perform intense physical work for extended periods of time.

· Able to lift 50lbs.
