The LTC Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring quality pharmaceutical care is provided to the long term care residents allied to the Sobeys National Pharmacy Group. The pharmacist will play a key role in achieving departmental excellence in the areas of demonstrating clinical care and providing remote prescription processing services for LTC sites. The pharmacist will also provide clinical services such as medication reviews and collaborate with multi-disciplinary health providers.

Here's where you'll be focusing:
LTC/Nursing Home Pharmacy
• Accurately complete prescription batching and daily prescription intake
• Provide Medication reviews, attend care conferences, med-room inspections, and other clinical services within the scope of pharmacy practice
• Consult with other healthcare providers to tailor pharmaceutical care to the residents' needs Service to Stakeholders
• Provide remote prescription processing services to other SNPG LTC sites in Alberta
• Provide occasional on-call support
What you have to offer:
Technical Skills
• Strong proficiency in pharmaceutical care in the geriatric population
• Expertise in Kroll 10 and its NH-related functionalities as well as e-MAR software such as PointClickCare and Catalyst
• Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and support multiple stores with remote prescription processing
Education and Experience
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy from a recognized institution
• Must be a Licensed Pharmacist in Alberta in good standing
• Previous experience in a Long Term Care pharmacy preferred
• Accreditation in Geriatric Pharmacy is an asset
• Additional prescribing authorization is an asset
