Restaurant General Manager

Base Salary

$25-$30 per hour plus bonus structure and strong benefits package (including Medical, Dental, Long-Term Disability, etc.)

We are looking for a dynamic individual to handle all aspects of managing our restaurant located in St. John’s Newfoundland. The ideal candidate will have exceptional leadership and organizational skills, a proven track record, as well as the ability and knowledge required to run a fast-paced, well-established restaurant. You will also have the drive, determination, and a willingness to lead and develop a growing team in a professional manner.

Job Responsibilities:

· You will oversee our restaurant daily operations and lead our dedicated team of employees to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for our guests.

· Create marketing strategies, recruiting and hiring, training, overseeing food quality, developing menus, and managing the budget and finances.

Job Duties

· Attracts patrons by developing and implementing marketing, advertising, public and community relations programs; evaluating program results; identifying and tracking changing demands.

· Accomplishes restaurant human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining management staff. Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.

· Maintains safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with health and legal regulations; maintaining security systems.

· Controls purchases and inventory by meeting with account manager; negotiating prices and contracts; developing preferred supplier lists; reviewing and evaluating usage reports; analyzing variances; taking corrective actions.

· Meets restaurant financial objectives by developing strategic and annual forecasts and budgets; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions; establishing and monitoring financial controls; developing and implementing strategies to increase average meal checks.

· Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
