Who We Are

The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) division of Finance and Treasury Board has an opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team. What You Will Do

The position responsibilities include:

  • defining project expectations concerning scope, schedule, cost, plan, goals, risks, and deliverables;
  • delivering projects per the project plan;
  • acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party consultants and contractors;
  • defining the project budget;
  • providing progress reports as required;
  • identifying concerns and issues and developing mitigations;
  • managing changes to the project plan and developing means to deliver the project as promised;
  • coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supervising project team members, consultants, and contractors;

"Must Have" QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field of study with a minimum of five years of progressively more senior project management experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

PMP certification or equivalent from a recognized body such as the Project Management Institute is required.

Must have, or be eligible for, a Canadian federal security clearance.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

"Nice to Have" QUALIFICATIONS:

Preference may be given to candidates that possess one or more of the following asset qualifications:

  • Experience on broadband projects
  • Experience on cellular projects
  • Experience with both waterfall, agile and hybrid project management methods
