Role Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Dietary Services, the Dietary Aide plays a pivotal role related to the assembly and safe service of food to residents, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience in a health care or similar environment
- Grade XII or Equivalent
- Food Handlers Course
- Knowledge of and experience with application of WHMIS GHS, routine practices and infection control considered an asset
Performance Requirements
- Ability to work independently and/or as a member of a team
- Operate machinery (Dietary)
- Must be in good health and physically able to perform repetitive tasks, lifting, squatting, bending, standing, and walking
- Promotes and maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and the public
- Performs other related duties as required
