Stena Drilling is delighted to be commencing operations offshore Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada for an anticipated six (6) month drilling campaign onboard the Stena DrillMAX Drillship.

There are currently temporary opportunities for 1 Storeman, working on a 28/28 on/off rotation.

Work Location: Onboard the Stena DrillMAX Drillship, offshore NL. Please note there is a possibility that successful candidates will be required to join the drillship overseas at an international location prior to mobilizing to NL.

Wage: $54.57 CAD per hour

Job Duties:

  • Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment.
  • Participate along with Supervisor in Risk Assessments.
  • Distribution of parts upon demand by heads of departments or supervisors.
  • Convert and transmit requisitions from approved Material Request's by Heads of Departments and Chief Engineer's, according to Stena Drilling Material Control Procedures.
  • Assist the HLO as directed including the administration duties required by helicopter operations. Will also assist with baggage as required.
  • Ensuring the preparation of shipping documents for equipment going ashore; Manifest, Materials Transfer, Repair/Return
  • Orders and "Equipment Data Transfer Sheet".
  • Report all non-conformances to the Chief Engineer.
  • Reporting to the Barge Master on any items affecting safety in areas which come under their responsibility, such as incorrect
  • packaging in shipped stores which could lead to hazardous situation.
  • Ensure the distribution of third-party certification which accompanies shipped items, to relevant Heads of Departments for filing. Additionally, shall be responsible for ensuring that all certification on lifting gear tackle which accompanies containers and loads are filed or passed to the Barge Master for filing.
  • Responsible for ensuring the manifest documentation is raised for customs clearance, transportation and consignee's identification.
  • Receive and deliver equipment, including client equipment if required.
  • Ensure store areas are well maintained.
  • Comply with IATA and IMDG Regulations by sea and air for shipping of materials.
  • Cyclical Inventory to be completed in all stores between 1st Jan & 31st Dec.
  • Ensure all items ordered should have a Stena stock code.
  • Ensure all requisitions are correctly coded, using NSFI coding system.
  • To assist Chief Engineer with Budget Controls.
  • Ensure consumables are ordered on a quarterly basis, stock-checked and have an up to date balance onboard.
  • Ensure a log is kept of all active rental equipment.
  • Ensure Stena's Stores procedures are followed for returns from Rig, and a tracking log in place for all equipment being returned for Repair/Credit etc.
  • Ensure all waste movements are properly manifested, packed and segregated according to procedure

Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • 12 years relevant experience
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of Maximo and tag systems
