BIOVECTRA Inc. has an opening for a Maintenance Technician. This is a permanent, full-time position located in Charlottetown, PEI.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Installing of facility and process equipment (electrical/mechanical /instrumentation/plumbing).
- Relocating of equipment through assembly and dismantle procedures.
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on process and facility equipment.
- Performing analytical troubleshooting to detect irregularities in equipment.
- Supporting Project needs around Equipment Qualifications and Commissioning.
- Utilizing knowledge and skill to recognize opportunities for improvement and savings.
- Providing corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on facility and process equipment in an industrial or production environment.
- Updating maintenance records in CMMS/source information from CMMS and other information system throughout the facility.
- Completing equipment repair histories and spare parts consolidation.
- Adhering to BIOVECTRA's Health and Safety Policy.
- Additional duties assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisor's request.
The successful candidate for this position should have:
- Post-Secondary Education in Mechanical and/or Mechanical Engineering Technician.
- Post-Secondary Education in Electromechanical Technician.
- Three years' maintenance experience in a regulated production facility.
- Red seal in accredited trade is considered an asset and will reflect in wage range.
- HVAC Experience considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical abilities.
- Good communication and team work skills.
- Driven, works well on own or as part of a team depending on task at hand.
- Good maintenance record keeping history, paper or electronic.
Entry Rate of Pay $27.00 - shift premium for rotating shift employees receive 12.5% and weekend premium additional $2.00.
