SCHEDULE: Day, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

The incumbent will play a key role in supporting the clinical practitioners of Vitalité Health Network in the implementation and management of the electronic medical record in their clinical practices by working closely with the Department of Health and the technology sector as a catalyst of growth and innovation for the Network.

Vitalité Health Network supports clinics and health centres in the management of electronic medical records (EMRs) other than MEDITECH.

The EMR is a computerized patient record management system designed to replace the traditional paper record. It makes it possible to document all the relevant information on the patient in a structured way, follow progress, and facilitate sharing of information between authorized practitioners.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree in health sciences, computing or a similar discipline or combination of education and experience and/or
  • Diploma in Health Information Management recognized by the Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA).
  • Minimum of five years' progressive technical experience in the analysis and/or development of systems, preferably in a health care environment;
  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio). Intermediate-advanced knowledge in Excel is an asset;
  • Excellent skills in serving a variety of clients;
  • Show leadership;
  • Ability to manage their workload and handle multiple priorities;
  • Discretion and sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.
