Source Atlantic is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team in Saint John, NB. Reporting to the National Purchasing Manager, this exciting role will manage the purchasing and inventory management activities for a segment of our business, representing all locations across the company. Specifically, the Strategic Sourcing Specialist's key responsibilities include:
- Manage supplier relationships with a focus on inventory management and cost savings initiatives
- Perform market analysis to ensure sustainable access to both core and innovative products
- Identify and address risks building contingency plans to mitigate
- Plan and execute strategies to meet Supply Chain Key Process Indicators (KPIs)
- Direct activities of the operational buyer
The ideal candidate possesses the following qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience in procurement, supply chain
- SCMP designation is an asset
- Strong business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and deliver cost savings
- Knowledge of inventory management
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Willingness to travel
