Eastlink is presently seeking a Construction Coordinator to join our team in Grande Prairie, AB.

Reporting to the Outside Plant Projects Manager, the Construction Coordinator will play a key role responsible for overseeing the quality and efficiency of fiber construction services, Site surveys and projects throughout Grande Prairie. Inclusive of coordinating the daily activities related to all aerial and underground plant construction, the Construction Coordinator will complete site visits, provide recommendations for routing and pole positioning as well as meet with external stakeholders to secure clearances and permits. Responsible for providing updates to internal and external customers, the Construction Coordinator will work to ensure that all projects comply with relevant standards/ regulations and are completed on time and budget. The Construction Coordinator will also assign day to day project activities to internal staff and contractors while contributing to the effective operation of the Engineering Construction team.

Qualifications:

  • Engineering related college diploma or comparable experience coupled with 3 years of experience in RF Construction, and Fiber Optic technology and construction.
  • Underground construction with a minimum of 3 years field construction.
  • Experience with fiber backhaul construction/splicing to Wireless Mobile sites, small cells, and FTTX projects.
  • Experience with Joint Use Utility applications and standards.
  • Project management experience to effectively multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Focused on the details, and quality results.
  • A customer service orientated individual, who embraces opportunities to collaborate with your peers and key stakeholders while working within a fast paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driver abstract
