EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
ONCOLOGY PROGRAM
Registered Nurse I
(Casual - 1 Position)
Location: St.Anthony,NL

Newfoundland Labrador Health Services (NLHS) is offering an eight (8) week Oncology Education Program for Registered Nurses through the Dr. Bliss Murphy Centre. This will be a self-directed course. Once finished there will be a two (2) week practicum held at a LG site to obtain certification.

Letters of interest are being accepted from Permanent and Casual nursing staff. This program is expected to commence in January 2024. The purpose of this program is to ensure sufficient numbers of staff are educated and available to provide quality patient care for short and long term relief for staff members assigned to Labrador Grenfell Zone Oncology units.

Candidates who are selected for this program will be required to agree to the following conditions:

1. Sign a Return-in-Service (RIS) Agreement for 3900 hours of worked service prior to commencement of this program.

2. Upon completion of this program, the successful employees must be available for shifts in the Oncology unit for a period of 3900 hours of worked service.

3. The successful employees will not be eligible to participate in another education program that requires a RIS commitment until the 3900 hours of worked service is completed.

Admission Requirements: Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Newfoundland and Labrador (CRNNL), current CPR, satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
