Seeking: 2nd Class Power Engineer

Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. operates three manufacturing facilities in Nova Scotia and is currently seeking a 2nd Class Power Engineer to join its Granton, NS team. The role of the 2nd Class Power Engineer is to
MISSION :
• To efficiently operate all power house equipment providing a non-interruptible supply of energy to the site.
• Ensure start up and monitoring of auxiliary equipment. Provide 1st level maintenance.
KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS
• Compliance with EP requirements and safety intervention rules (specific to the boilerhouse, general on the site and in the workshops)
• Operation and monitoring of fluids equipment (compliance with conduct protocols, traceability, facilities record tracking, ...)
• Fluids quality, influent parameters and devices compliance (pressure, temperature, water treatment, steam traps, dryers, ...)
• Fluids availability (continuity of service, in normal operation and emergency procedures in case of failure, anticipate workshops consumption )
• Cost of fluids production (optimized running equipment, optimum energy efficiency of the machines)
• Environmental control plans, preventive and corrective actions done
• Monitoring the proper operation of the machine park and reporting any anomalies
• Quality of analyzes and water treatment to keep them in compliance with specifications
