Our MPE Saskatoon office is currently recruiting for the position of Junior Civil /Geotechnical Engineering Technologist.

Your Contribution

T he person must be a self-motivated individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills and an aptitude for problem solving. The successful candidate will be able to work long hours when required, and to travel within Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and execute geotechnical site investigations.
  • Perform soil classifications, sampling, testing, and reporting.
  • Install geotechnical instrumentation.
  • Perform construction inspections as related to foundations, earthworks, etc.
  • Prepare written reports.
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules

Your Profile

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or similar.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Previous experience in carrying out geotechnical site investigations, construction materials testing, and laboratory testing is an asset. The ideal candidate would have 2 years of relevant experience, may consider new grads.
  • Data entry, spreadsheet, and work processing skills are an asset.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel and work remotely in all weather conditions, as needed.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Eligible for professional membership with TPSK.
