Permanent Full Time
Location: Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL

Reporting to the Regional Director of Physical Infrastructure and Support, the primary purpose of this position is to provide team leadership to the maintenance team for the technical based infrastructure at the Labrador Health Center and other Facilities in the Happy-Valley Goose Bay area.

Qualifications:

" Journeyperson Certificate Required in at least one of the building Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Trades;
" Experience in operation of a work order and preventative maintenance system;
" Minimum of 5 years of experience in specific trade as a journeyperson;
" Knowledge of organizations structures and polices as well as knowledge of applicable codes, procedures and legislation;
" The successful applicant will be required to submit a satisfactory certificate of conduct;

Duties: (Included but not limited to)

" Team Leader for Maintenance Staff located in the Labrador Health Center;
" Supervises and participates for continuous operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of building infrastructure such as: Architectural, Civil, Mechanical and/or Electrical Systems; i.e Structures, building envelopes, outside grounds, building controls, electrical and instrumentation systems, including primary voltage service, emergency backup power generation systems, telecommunications, process and building control systems, life safety systems, mechanical systems, med-gas systems, and Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning;
" Represents LGH Zone in contract management for the identified facilities as it relates to construction and service providers;
" Reads and interprets drawings, blueprints, schematics and code specifications to determine layout of equipment installations;
" Uses computer for word processing, computerized maintenance scheduling, project tracking and maintenance management, email and internet;
" Liaises with contractors on various capital and project work;
" Attends meetings with managers from different departments for any maintenance or project related work throughout our facilities;
" Performs administrative duties suck as maintaining records and preparing reports;
" Responsible for scheduling and payroll for team;
" Other related duties as required.

Salary:

" CG-35 of the NAPE-HS salary scales: $32.29 - $36.03 per hours plus the applicable Labrador Allowance.

Hours of Work:

" 75 hours Bi-weekly; variable shifts.
