Atlantic Lottery (AL) is seeking a UX Lead. Location is flexible within Atlantic Canada with occasional travel to Moncton, NB.

As the UX Lead you will play a crucial role in ensuring our digital products are user friendly, discoverable, and accessible to all while nurturing a talented team of UX Specialists. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers and product managers to drive the UX strategy forward.

Responsibilities

People Management:

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of UX Specialists.
  • Set clear goals and expectations for team members and provide constructive feedback.
  • Allocate team to projects and enhancements.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Act as backup to UX Specialists.
  • Manage vendor relationships for UX staff augmentation.

UX Reporting and Dashboards:

  • Responsible for player testing, user research, and insights discipline ensuring this is conducted to consistent standards.
  • Establish a central repository of player insights; ensure they are regularly available to the team and shared with stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain UX reporting to track KPIs related to User Experience.
  • Analyze user data and insights to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Oversee a central repository of UX processes and documentation.

CMS Strategy & Management:

  • Define and execute a CMS strategy to ensure efficient content management and publishing.
  • Define and establish a CMS governance to ensure digital optimized quality content and alignment with brand standards, SEO strategy, accessibility guidelines and official languages while ensuring content publishing workflows are in place and follow best practices.
  • Oversee workflows, documentation, and training to enhance the authoring experience.

Accessibility Champion:

  • Responsible for creating an AL Accessibility Strategy based on WCAG standards.
  • Lead efforts to ensure our products meet accessibility standards.
  • Conduct accessibility audits and coordinate remediation effort and managing backlogs.
  • Educate and advocate for accessibility best practices within the organization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Perform UX Assessments for project and enhancement requests.
  • Communicate UX (including accessibility & SEO) requirements effectively to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to ensure user-centered design principles are integrated into all initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with development and product teams to implement UX recommendations.
  • Collaborate with product managers to align UX strategies with product roadmaps.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • 3+ years' experience in Content Management, User Research, UX Design and/or interaction/visual design.
  • Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and guidelines (WCAG).
  • Prior experience in people management and team leadership.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older to apply.

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to energize, empower and engage team to deliver results.

Assets:

  • Experience in Adobe Experience Manager & Figma.

  • Degree or Diploma in UX Design, marketing, business, or associated field.
