Salary range: $104,078.42 to $122,445.20 annually

What you will be doing…
The Manager, School of Health and Human Services provides leadership for developing and stewarding sector-specific programming and strategies for the College and ensures that this programming mix is current, relevant and meeting the evolving industry and community needs. This role has a primary focus on nursing programs.
The Manager is a key member of the School leadership team, provides strategic advice and expertise to the Dean, and contributes to the overall direction and implementation of School programming and priorities.
The Manager develops and leverages internal and external relationships to identify new programming and project opportunities for the respective School across Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma programs as well as Continuing Education, Apprenticeship, Customized Training and across multiple delivery modes. The Manager may also develop and lead in applied research and innovation initiatives, which contribute to the growth and development of the key industry sectors in the province.
The Manager is a creative and action-oriented leader who demonstrates a passion for education and economic growth and inspires cross-functional teams to create the programming of today and tomorrow.
Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Bachelor of Nursing or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. You are currently registered, or are eligible for registration, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN).
- Master's degree in Education or Nursing would be considered an asset.
- Project Management designation would be considered an asset.
- You have a minimum of 7 years (full time equivalent) of recent and related occupational and leadership experience of a results-oriented team.
- You demonstrate a commitment to principles of equity.
- Experience leading accreditations, external program reviews and/or program evaluation processes is required.
- Occupational leadership experience in post-secondary would be considered an asset.
- Occupational leadership experience in adult education management and program management would be considered an asset.
- Occupational experience working with regulated health and human services professions would be considered an asset.
- Occupational experience incorporating simulation and debriefing into health and human services learning environments would be considered an asset.
- Experience developing and managing strategy, plans and projects.
- Proven track record in building internal and external relationships.
- Specific areas or required demonstrated experience include analytical skills, strong technical writing and communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint and E-mail.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience.
- You have experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery and evaluation.

- You demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and have strong desire to keep current with pertinent policies, standard practices, laws and regulations as well as any proposed changes, and you can apply policies, standards and practice consistently.
- You are known for your ability to direct, influence and manage several functions simultaneously with a demonstrated practice of promoting collaboration and collegiality.

- Frequent travel within Nova Scotia will be required.
